Open water swimming can be physically demanding and carries with it risks that we cannot entirely eliminate. We complete a Risk Assessment for each venue we teach at and then complete a Dynamic Risk Assessment on the day of the session to minimise the impact of the associated risks. To minimise risk further we require that participants:
-
act responsibly and safely at all times
-
do not attend if they are pregnant, unwell or under the influence of alcohol or non-prescription drugs. We are not qualified to make a decision that you are fit to attend so request that you take advice from a doctor if you are unwell.
-
follow any safety warnings or instructions given to you by the coach or displayed at the venue
-
-
Coaches trading under the name Found in the Waves are not responsible or liable for any injuries or damages resulting from your participation.
-
New clients should complete a Pre-Swim questionnaire 24 hours prior to the session and notify us if their health changes in the future.
Cancellation Terms
-
Open water classes may need to be cancelled due to weather or sewage conditions. We will make a decision the evening before the lesson and notify you immediately to cancel and reschedule the lesson.
-
If you need to cancel the lesson we will endeavour to reschedule it, subject to 24 hours notice. If the session cannot be rescheduled you will receive a refund, minus a 5% (minimum £1) processing fee.
-
If you do not attend or cancel within 24 hours you will be charged the full session amount.
-
If there is insufficient demand for any course or the minimum number is not met we retain the right to cancel the session. Our aim will always be to advise you as soon as possible and either reschedule or refund in full.
-
If we have to cancel any session we will offer you an alternative date/time or refund in full.
